It's important to note that Garma Beach is not officially listed in the beach list of the Municipality of Podgora for safety reasons. The recommendation of the Podgora Tourist Board is to visit Garma Beach from the sea side and to enjoy it from the boat, as the beach itself carries static dangers.

Izbitac Beach

Izbitac Beach is a beautiful gravel beach with a gentle slope into the sea, making it perfect for everyone, especially inexperienced swimmers and children. Along the long shoreline, beautiful shades of blue blend into each other. Several jumping spots are available, and there is also a shower on the beach. Don't forget to bring sunscreen and a beach umbrella as the beach lacks natural shade.

Klokun Beach

Klokun Beach is a pebble beach located between Podgora and Drašnica. The recommendation for visiting this beach is by sea, guaranteeing peace and quiet! It is a small cove surrounded by rocks, ideal for nature lovers. The pine trees surrounding the beach provide shade and act as protection from the sun on hot summer days. The crystal clear, cool sea and beautiful pebbles will relax you, while the view of the Biokovo mountain, which in Klokun seems to enter directly into the sea, will take your breath away!

Klokun is interesting because there are numerous small freshwater springs in the underwater, making it an ideal place for diving. Klokun is known as one of the most beautiful hidden beaches on the Makarska Riviera. Shielded from view, this secluded cove is the perfect choice for romantics and nature lovers.

Some research suggests that the Mediterranean monk seal, one of the most endangered mammals in the world, once inhabited a small cave in Klokun.

Komejača Beach

Komejača is a beach located between Drašnice and Igrane, it is hidden from the main road and some parts of it can only be seen by boat. It is very quiet and peaceful as not many people go there. One part of the beach is unique and recognizable beacuse of the so-called “Klepin“ wall. It is called like that beacuse of the owners “Klepo“ vineyards next to the wall. We recommend everyone to find and enjoy this hidden gem to make their summer even better.

Plaža Dračevac

Dračevac is one of the most famous FKK-friendly beaches along the entire Makarska Riviera, located between the idyllic towns of Podgora and Tučepi.

It's just a few minutes' walk from the center. Some useful information about this destination includes easy accessibility and the possibility of parking in a private, free parking lot off-season. There is a small café on the beach where you can take a break from the sun and refresh yourself. What makes this beach special is its abundant natural shade, providing visitors with a comfortable refuge from the sun. It's good to know that there are no showers or changing rooms on the beach, but the natural beauty will make up for anything you might have thought was lacking.

Fun Facts

According to tradition, it was precisely on June 16, 1807, that a ship was sunk at this location in a battle between the French and the Russians, right in the area of Dračevac, and this battle and uprising should be one of the most important uprisings against Napoleon at all because the conflicting parties were not only the French and the local population, but one of the most significant coalition countries against Napoleon, which sent its army on a relatively long journey by sea to land on French-controlled territory. It is interesting that two neighboring towns chose opposite sides and thereby began a rivalry that is still felt in some segments today.



Plišivac Beach

A few steps north of the center of Podgora, lies one of the most beautiful beaches on the Makarska Riviera - Plišivac. This enchanting beach, surrounded by pine trees, offers an unforgettable experience of enjoying the sea and sun, enriched by the scent of pine forest and sea salt.

Plišivac Beach is known for its cobblestones, so at the entrance to the beach, on the cape known as Greeting to the Moon, there are large installations of cobblestones comfortable for sitting, relaxing, and watching the sunset.



Rat Beach

Rat Beach in Drašnice is a long pebble beach that can accommodate a large number of guests. Behind the tranquil beach, rocky slopes descend into the clear sea. On the beach, you can find a changing cabin and a shower. The beach appears isolated as it is fenced off, but it is located next to a populated area. Unfortunately, there is no natural shade, but you can seek shelter from the sun at the "Morski dvori" restaurant next to the beach.


Soline Beach

Soline Beach is the most popular beach among tourists because it is located in the center near several cafes and restaurants. There is a changing cabin and shower on the beach. It is a great place for sunbathing and is ideal for evening outings to nearby cafes.

    

Sutikla Beach


Categorized as a pebble beach, Sutikla won't disappoint you. One of its special features is the natural shade it provides, offering refreshment from hot summer days. If you need to cool off after sunbathing, don't worry - the beach is equipped with showers and a changing cabin for you to freshen up and prepare for another round of enjoyment.

Nearby the beach, there is a public restroom and several catering facilities where you can enjoy refreshing drinks or light snacks. A small parking area is located just a few meters from the beach, right next to the Sutikla facility. So, hunger and thirst won't be a problem while you're at Sutikla!

The beach itself is narrow, but that doesn't mean you can't find your own spot under the sun. As it's often filled with young people looking for good fun, the atmosphere at Sutikla is always lively and playful. The entry into the sea is gentle, ideal for a game - you can try your hand at two rounds of picigin and feel the victorious feeling as you refresh yourself in the crystal-clear sea.

Fun Facts

Picigin is a Croatian amateur sport (game) played with a ball on a sandy beach, in shallow waters. It is played by people of all ages. It is protected as a cultural heritage of the Republic of Croatia. Picigin is a game without winners, making it difficult to speak of strict rules. The basic rules are very simple: five players in the water at a depth of ten to twenty centimeters (if the water is deeper, it only slows down the game and reduces attractiveness) arranged in a pentagon with a distance of six to seven meters between them, hitting the ball with their palms, trying to keep the ball from falling into the water.

Vodice Beach

Vodice beach is a pebble beach located under an accommodation complex which is perfect for guests situated in the nearby apartments. It seems private but it is not and there are two small paths that lead to the beach. The sea is clean and clear and it is enclosed by rocks on one side which makes for beautiful scenery. The 130m long beach also has a shower.

Čaklje Beach

Čaklje Beach, located just 2 km from the picturesque center of Podgora, offers an exceptionally pleasant experience that can be enjoyed either by a leisurely stroll along the coast with stunning sea views, a bike ride, or even by car right to the doorstep of the beach, making it easy to enjoy the enchanting coastal landscapes.

Stretching 400 meters, Čaklje Beach takes your breath away with its pebbled shore and crystal-clear waters. In the immediate vicinity, there are charming cafes and restaurants, perfect for refreshments or a delicious meal. Čevajele Beach

Čevajele Beach is a beautiful beach on the outer side of the local harbor. It is a gravel beach with a source of cold water nearby, which is great for refreshing and hydrating during hot summer days. The beach is close to the Porat café and also has a water polo goal where locals usually play. Additionally, the beach has a shower, changing cabin, and a small stone pier.
